The aim of the first part, the international scientific conference on agricultural GHG mitigation measures and implementation options, is to provide a platform for international scientist to ex-change and discuss current and future innovative mitigation options and implementation pro-cesses and to develop future pathways for applicable mitigation strategies in agriculture. The results shall be further discussed during the stakeholder conference following directly afterwards.

What are new innovative approaches in better monitoring of GHG emissions and how can MRV options be integrated internationally?

2. Mitigation potential
What are innovative measures to mitigate GHG emissions in livestock, cropland, rice production and carbon rich-ecosystems? How can intelligent land use management contribute to less GHG emissions? What is the mitigation potential on the regional, national and global scale of new and innovative action and measures?
